Here is my Pumpkin Patch…
Hey Stampers!
I wanted to make some pumpkins for Halloween. So here is what I came up with. My little pumpkin patch. I made some pumpkins last year for Thanksgivings this year I wanted some for Halloween.
I wanted the pumpkins to look like they were in a bin so I used the Big Shot Die Fancy Folds from Stampin Up! (page 200). I did cut the box down a little then used the Scallop Edge Punch, (page 187) before putting the box together. To make it look like a bin after it was together I used the Word Window Punch (page 187) added one to every other scallop (sponged with Close to Cocoa).
Pumpkins are made with the Round Tab Punch (page 187). It takes 10 of them to make one pumpkin I used the DSP paper called Cast-A-Spell (page 161). Added a little piece of ribbon before taping the last one together. Then I took a thin piece of Old Olive cardstock around a pencil to make a stem. What I did to make the cardstock look like hay was I took a piece of So Saffron cardstock sponged it with Close of Cocoa cut it into thin strips ran threw through the Crimper page (188). My little 5 cent sign is made with the stamp set called Halloween Hoot (page 23)
Sweet Treat Cups…
Hey Stampers!
I’m trying out the new Sweet Treat Cups on page 7 from the Holiday Mini Catalog for a workshop. I have to admit these cups are really fun to work with, what a great price you get 12 cups for $2.95 Here is a quick & easy way to use them with a box.. You know the saying think outside the box, why not put your candy outside the box (hehe!).
I made a box with the Big Shot Fancy Favor Die. Used the 1 3/4′ circle punch to make the whole in the box (which you can do after the box is together). Added some of the DSP called Cast-A-Spell, made a tag with the Batty for You stamp set. Simple…Simple!

Build-A-Bear Class Idea…
Hey Stampers!
Today I’m sharing with you a class project that I will be offering in September to kick off the new The Build-A-Bear Dies & Stamps Sets from the Holiday Mini Catalog which is only offered through Stampin Up! starting tomorrow. When making the tin I was thinking you could Build-A-Bear (get it). You can take the tin with you on the go in the car, have it at home or even give it as a really cute birthday gift.
This is a DVD tin. The out side of the tin is made with the Build-A-Bear Stamp Set called Seal of Pawthenticity. Stamp the bear with Versamark on the tin then emboss with black embossing powder. The Cardstock, DSP & Ribbon are made with the new in-color Melon Mambo. The bears & clothing are made with a the Big Shot Dies. I placed a piece of adhesive magnet inside on both sides. Also used the adhesive magnet on the bear and each piece of clothing.
The tin goes together really quick if you have all the Build-A-Bear Dies from Stampin Up! If you would like to have the Dies & Stamps for The Bear-A-Class you can order them from me at www.leneepearson.stampinup.net. Remember they will only be offered through Stampin Up!
Say It With A Box…
Hey Stampers!
You know that saying (“message in a bottle”), will why not have a message in a box.
At convention a couple of weeks ago Spencer Willis from Stampin Up! showed us some really neat ways to use the Big Shot Die Bitty Box & Envelopes. Did you know that the Big Shot Die Flower Folds and the Bitty Box are made to go together.
I’m thinking these boxes would make a fun way to give someone a little surprise message. You could give one to your husband, parents or in-laws to let them know what you are having (“boy or girl”) or even use them at a baby shower to let everyone know your surprise. Another fun way would be to place one in your child’s lunch box so when they were having lunch they would know you were thinking about them.
Below are some samples of boxes I made. Now it your turn to make a message in a box. The baby announcement box is open so you could see the what it looks like inside.
The flower have a fold in them by the petals so you can fold them down to fix in the box. I used cardstock for my boxes, it’s thicker and holds up better and DSP for the flowers. Place a message in the middle of the flowers close and decorate it that easy.
